Going where business decisions are made
On 10 December 2025, I attended the UAE–Russia Business Forum in Dubai on behalf of Elucidation Accounting Records. The forum brought together government officials, investors, founders and corporate leaders from both countries to discuss trade, technology and long-term economic cooperation.
Our aim was simple: to listen, to learn where cross-border business is heading, and to build relationships with companies and entrepreneurs who will need a reliable financial partner as they grow in the UAE and across the GCC.

One of the highlights of the day was meeting Mr. Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of the Dubai Future Foundation, who spoke on the forum's innovation panel, "Russia–UAE Innovation Track: A New Era of Technological Partnership."
The session focused on how technology, artificial intelligence and innovation are shaping the next phase of collaboration between the two countries. For us at Elucidation, this connects directly to our work on digital accounting and our own ERP platform, Alaweron-ERP — helping businesses replace spreadsheets and manual records with smart, connected systems.

Connecting with inspiring women entrepreneurs
I was proud to meet a strong group of women entrepreneurs and business leaders from across the region. We exchanged experiences on building companies, entering new markets and the challenges founders face as they scale.
A common theme came up again and again: founders want to focus on their business, not on bookkeeping, VAT deadlines or corporate tax filings. This is the gap Elucidation fills — so entrepreneurs can grow with confidence while we keep their finances organised and compliant.

I also had a productive conversation with Mr. Nikolay Vukolov of Sberbank about business between the UAE and Russia and the opportunities emerging for companies working across both markets.
Cross-border business brings real questions — company setup, banking, VAT registration, corporate tax, transfer of funds and financial reporting standards. Conversations like this help us understand what international investors need, so we can support them properly when they establish or expand in the UAE.
